Buns and cake
I felt an urge to make chelsea buns, so I borrowed Andrew’s Kenwood Chef this morning (with its oh-so-handy dough hook), and had fun with Beth making the buns. Chelsea buns were my favourite item from the school tuck shop — they obviously impressed me at an impressionable age. Beth enjoyed both the cooking and the eating of the buns. In fact, they disappeared so quickly that I then made a lemon cake so we had something to eat with tea.

I think we’ll be making some more buns next weekend; maybe hot cross buns. Worth getting the practice in before Easter! Must get my own Kenwood Chef, too. Something to stick on the Amazon Wish List…
