We had salad for tea today. I ate rather a lot of crinkle-cut pickled beetroot. I wonder whether the crinkles make it taste nicer; they certainly make it easier to get the slices out of the jar and into me.

Yesterday we had a purple cabbage with our Quorn-mince shepherd’s pie. To continue the colour trend, I wonder what purple food to have for tea tomorrow?

But that's never still purple by the time it's cooked. Most disappointing.

We need purple foods that aren't afraid to share their purpleness.
